
Belgrade, 5 June 2026 – HRH Crown Princess Katherine, together with Ms. Milena Protich and Lifeline Canada Humanitarian Organization, whose proud patron for more than 30 years is Her Royal Highness Princess Katherine provided a valuable donation of medical equipment to the Institute for Mother and Child Health Care of Serbia “Dr Vukan Čupić” in Belgrade, further supporting the institution’s efforts to provide the highest level of healthcare to children and young patients throughout Serbia.
The total value of the donation delivered to the institution today is 5,000 CAD, and it includes a mechanical scale with a height meter, an i7 volumetric infusion pump, and a portable pulse oximeter with a reusable sensor. This equipment will contribute to improving patient monitoring, treatment, and overall quality of care at the Institute.
This humanitarian effort was made possible through the generosity of Ms. Milena Protich and Lifeline Canada Humanitarian Organization, as well as the dedication of Crown Princess Katherine, whose continued support helps strengthen healthcare institutions across Serbia.

Prof. Dr. Aleksandar Sovtić, Deputy Director of the Institute for Mother and Child Health Care of Serbia “Dr Vukan Čupić”, expressed his gratitude for the donation: “Every contribution that helps us improve the conditions for diagnosing, monitoring, and treating our patients is of great importance. We are sincerely grateful to Crown Princess Katherine, Mrs. Milena Protić, and Lifeline Canada for recognizing the needs of our institution and for their valuable support. This equipment will be used daily in the care of our youngest patients and will significantly contribute to the quality of healthcare services we provide.”
During the donation handover, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aleksandar Sovtić presented HRH Crown Princess Katherine with a recognition award as a token of gratitude for her contribution to the development of the Institute and her selfless support in advancing healthcare for children in Serbia.
