Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Princess Katherine accompanied by Mrs Alison Andrews and HRH Prince Dimitri hosted yesterday the Annual Benefit Luncheon at Le Cirque, New York. The event was organized for the fourth time in row by Lifeline Humanitarian Organization New York, a nonprofit humanitarian organization, whose patron is Princess Katherine. The proceeds will go towards the purchase of medical equipment for children’s hospitals in Serbia. The special guest appearance was by Metropolitan Opera Baritone Željko Lučić.

Lifeline New York’s Board President David Hryck introduced Crown Prince Alexander who welcomed guests including Lady Lully Gibbons, Cheri Kaufman, Susan Gutfreund, Kyle Wooland expressed his gratitude for his wife’s “ involvement” with the foundation before the lunch was served.

Following the appetizers, Serbian opera star, the baritone, Željko Lučić performed a Verdi Aria accompanied by Mr. Djordje Nesic on piano. Following the lunch, Princess Katherine was introduced by David Hryck spoke about how “it is not the title that makes a person, but the time they take to make a difference.” The Princess became emotional as she described the struggle that her country has been through, and the desperate need for medical supplies and equipment. She thanked all of her friends in the room and expressed how their presence had “recharged” her and provided her with hope that by talking with the right people, and fighting with a smile, change would come and improve Serbian conditions.

The winners of the Silent Auction items, including two tickets to the 2015 Tony Awards, tennis balls signed by Novak Djokovic, and Meissen Porcelain Jewellery were then announced while guests enjoyed coffee and dessert. Auction items were provided by Tiffany & Co., Marina B, Meissen Couture, Duccio Ventruri, L. Raphael Geneve, Beauty Spa, and DeGorsi Luxury Consultancy.
