Lifeline Canada and Princess Katherine help Gerontological center Belgrade

The humanitarian organization Lifeline Canada, whose patron is Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine, has successfully organized and conducted its traditional fundraising to help several institutions in Serbia. As a result of that activity, the Princess’ Foundation delivered the necessary help to the Gerontology Center Belgrade today, it is said in the press release.

Thanks to the generosity of big-hearted donors and the efforts of Lifeline Canada, more than 1,540,000 dinars were collected. The funds were used for the purchase of necessary devices and equipment for the Center, as well as for the needs of other institutions in Serbia, to which assistance will be delivered in the coming days.

The Gerontology Center in Belgrade received 25 toilet wheelchairs, 20 pulse oximeters, bed linen and blankets, which will significantly help users and provide support in the work of the staff of this institution.

HRH Crown Princess Katherine is especially grateful to NuVoxx Communications, all donors of the Humanitarian Organization Lifeline Canada and the Serbian Diaspora for their selfless help and for not forgetting our people and our country.

“I am very happy that this action, which is traditionally organized by Lifeline Canada, has been successfully completed this year as well. Many thanks to all the generous donors who recognized the needs of institutions in Serbia and thus provide a better life for the people who live in them and use their services.

Your selfless support has changed lives of many people in Serbia and Republika Srpska for the better, you have brought them joy and smiles on their faces, as well as the feeling that they have not been forgotten. The people of Serbia are always happy to have real and sincere friends who, although they live far from Serbia, do not forget those who need help in our country” said HRH Crown Princess Katherine.

Director of the Institution Gerontology Center Belgrade, Dr Srdjan Dimitrijevic said: “On behalf of all users, employees, and on my own behalf, I would like to thank HRH Crown Princess Katherine, Lifeline Canada and the Princess Foundation in Belgrade, which once again generously helped the work of our institution, and significantly contribute to the well-being of the users of our institutions.
